About us
Pathways.me uses short-form content to showcase compelling, cutting-edge careers, making it easy for high schoolers to explore career paths.
Our website features inspiring stories of individuals from diverse backgrounds who have succeeded in various fields. Each story showcases the milestones that formed the pursuit of the individuals' career aspirations, including the actions they took during high school, at university, and in their early career to achieve their goals. By reading these stories, students can gain inspiration and insights into a career path that aligns with their interests, values, and skils.
Our mission
Pathways.me is on a mission to democratize access to career path possibilities to high schoolers everywhere. Every student deserves a fair chance to see what's possible, and to know about what it takes to pursue that path at a university and beyond.
By sharing stories of individuals who have successfully pursued careers in a variety of fields, regardless of their socioeconomic background, students can gain inspiration and insight into what is possible for them. This can help break down the barriers that often limit the aspirations of students from low-income or underrepresented backgrounds.
Building strategic partnerships
We strategically partner with high schools and share the stories of mentors on our platform. This allows students to better understand which career path makes sense for them and identify suitable mentors. Our storytelling platform offers initial exposure to career paths, while mentorship programs provide hands-on experience to affirm or deny students' interest in pursuing their chosen pathway.
Furthermore, we collaborate with corporations interested in inspiring and developing the next generation of talent. Through our corporate partnerships, partners can showcase the stories of their employees, who share their experiences and insights to shape the aspirations of current high school students.
MEET OUR TEAM
We're on the mission to narrow the information gap related to career path discovery that is caused by socio-economic factors.
