MILESTONES

My career roadmap has been somewhat defined.

In high school I joined the engineering program. Throughout this program I new I wanted to explore Engineering in college and later committed to Georgia Tech.

In college I was interested in how businesses work as well as engineering so I decided to study Industrial Engineering and join the consulting club.

In Consulting club I did a pro-bono project that lead me to experience what a client facing job would look like.

After my junior year I did an internship at EY, and learned more about how businesses in the Financial Sector work.

Recently I enrolled in a class called startup lab where I met the original founder of Pathways.me and joined the team to work on trying to bridge the knowledge gap of how people break into their careers.

Finally I joined Create-X to further work on Pathways.me and learn more about the startup world in general.

ADVICE

How to maximize my time in high school?

  • Try to make a startup yourself and understand the process it takes to create a meaningful product

  • Join clubs that will give you experience on the topics that you are interested in

  • Read up as much as you can to become knowledgeable about the space you are interested in. When talking to others, your experiences don't impress them, but your knowledge of the space will.
